The Extraordinary Session at Batumi City Council

Today the extraordinary session was held at Batumi City Council, where the members of the City Council discussed six issues foreseen by the agenda. Meeting which was attended by the Mayor of Batumi was held with declarations. Deputies were interested in situations which happened after natural disasters. Is loss counted and if it is possible to give compensation to the families? By the said of Giorgi Ermakov “loss is in the process of counting and in the nearest future we will do everything to help population.” Meeting was continued according to the agenda. Changes were made in the 2016 year budget, according to which incomes of the current year and based on the fixed economies, budget’s allotments according to the separate programs/subprograms will be increased by 1 063 513 GEL.
The changes provides the distribution of resources to a different spheres that finally will improve the social and economic conditions of residents of Batumi city.
According Batumi City Hall Finance and Economic Service Deputy Chief Archil Vanadze’, changes where brought about basically in the programs of health and social welfare, youth promotion, culture, education, infrastructure construction and rehabilitation.
The City Council members supported the draft decree that provides the transfer of Municipality-owned 3263,00 sq/m of non-trade land parcel in Batumi,  Rustaveli street, adjoining the former hotel “Meskheti”,  for free, with property rights, to the Autonomous Republic of Adjara  in order to implement a large investment proposal. The City Council members also voted for the proposal of the faction “Free Democrats” about the initiative related to the implementation of some activities regarding a parking in Batumi Municipality, which considers the arrangement of moving taxi parking  in the City.
